Ray L. Bundy, age 97, passed away on October 23, 2018 at his home in Alamo, Nevada. He was born on August 13, 1921 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Omer and Rowena Whitmore Bundy. He was an 8th grade graduate from Mt. Trumbel a 1 room school house. During WWII. he served with Patton’s “Red Ball Express”. Ray was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He retired from Local 12 Operating Engineers where he was a 70-year member. He ran heavy equipment building roads. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He ran range cows at the homestead in Mt. Trumbel, Arizona.
Ray is survived by his children; Nancy Bundy of Grand Junction, CO, Dennis (Teresa) Bundy of Eureka, NV. Kenneth (Yong Suk) Bundy of Linwood, CA, Glenndon Bundy of Alamo, NV, Rae Dean Bundy (Larry) Baysinger of Mohave Valley, AZ and Lori Bundy Anderson of Silverpeak, NV. His brothers Dean (Bonnie) Bundy of UT and Glendon (Holly) Bundy of CA. and sisters Adell Doerr of NV, Rene (John) Parks of AK and Doloras Bice of UT. Along with 22 grandchildren 43 great grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wives Quincy Dean Smith, Bundy, Vivian “Sunny” Joyce Wilkin Bundy and Faye C. Winsor Bundy. His brothers Emer and Stanley Bundy and sisters Nora Reid and Ellen Peabody.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at Beaver Dam Cemetery in Beaver Dam, AZ. under the direction of the Southern Nevada Mortuary.
