Born June 30, 1950 to Henry Grant and Guila Wilcock of Pioche, Nevada. John passed away peacefully March 3, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada. John attended Caliente and Pioche grade schools, then graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1968.
John went on a mission to the Central (Missouri) States. Spent a year at UNLV taking a course in Law Enforcement. Then, he went to work in SLC, Utah in the Fire Alarm Sprinkler Industry, where he met and married Teresa Hampton of American Fork in 1975. They have three children, Amy June (Scott) Lamoreaux, Lola Dawn Wilcock, both of Alabaster, AL., & Jason (Ashley) Wilcock of Las Vegas, NV. John was Papa to ten grandchildren: Schelbi, Charlotte, Tyler, Cheylo, Robyn, Justin, Sophia, Soren, Anson, and Adler. With his first great-grandson, Declan John due in July.
After moving back to his home town of Pioche, NV. He worked for the NV Dept. Of Prisons & then retired from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. He is survived by his wife Teresa, and Sisters: Jacquie (Gene) Pickens, Rosalee (David) Joseph, and Helen Palma. Proceeded in death by (Father) Henry Grant, two sisters and Mother Guila Wilcock.
Services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019, 3:00 p.m. at the Pioche LDS church.
